Comparative Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Atlas Reveals the Genetic Regulation of Reproductive Traits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cross‐species single‐cell transcriptomic atlas of reproductive and central nervous system tissues from sheep and humans reveals conserved cellular programs and regulatory networks that regulated fertility. Integration with GWAS for sheep lifetime average litter size identifies UNC5–SLIT–BMP signaling as a core pathway coordinating neuroendocrine ...

Enhancing Binding by Electron Transfer at Heterointerfaces of Biochar‐Modified Hydrogel to Improve Utilization Efficiency of Wastewater Recovered Nutrients

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Enhancing the utilization efficiency of nutrients recovered from wastewater is achieved through hydrogel modification by biochar. The strategy improves nutrient binding to hydrogels via electron transfer at heterointerfaces, thereby reducing nutrient release rate.

Promoting clean technologies: The energy market structure crucially matters [PDF]

open access: yes
We develop a general equilibrium vintage capital model with embodied energy- saving technological progress and an explicit energy market to study the impact of investment subsidies on investment and output.

Senescent Synovial Intimal Fibroblasts Aggravate Osteoarthritis by Regulating Macrophage Polarization and Chondrocyte Phenotype Through ANGPTL4‐α5β1 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Senescent synovial intimal fibroblasts (SIF) are identified as key drivers of osteoarthritis. They promote M1 macrophage polarization and cartilage degeneration via the ANGPTL4–α5β1 axis, regulated by transcription factors EGR1 and ATF3. Pharmacological inhibition of this pathway alleviates disease, revealing SIF senescence as a promising therapeutic ...

Monetary Green Accounting and Ecosystem Services [PDF]

open access: yes
The point of departure in this paper is that monetary green accounting aims at serving as indicator of wealth changes, sustainable use of natural capital, and performance of environmental policy. It is then investigated how wealth changes and sustainable

Modification Strategies of Carbon‐Based Electrodes From Structural Regulation to Multifunctional Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tracing the evolution from structural regulation to multifunctional integration, this paper systematically analyzes modification strategies for carbon‐based electrodes. It evaluates how element doping, surface functionalization, and composite material design affect the electrode performance, and offers perspectives on future applications and challenges

Re-evaluating the impact of natural resources on economic growth [PDF]

open access: yes
In this study we re-evaluate the impact of natural resources on economic growth. The reassessment is based on a growth model where, using panel-data analysis, natural-resource variables (geographically diffused and concentrated) affect the efficiency ...

Dynamic Decoration of DNA Scaffolds for High‐Resolution Cancer Cell Subtyping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a dual‐mode imaging platform that utilizes self‐assembly and disassembly of DNA scaffolds for high‐resolution cancer cell detection. The structural rigidity of DNA scaffolds effectively prevents cellular internalization for over 300 min.

Harvesting natural resources: management and conflicts [PDF]

open access: yes
It is reasonable to consider the stock of any renewable resource as a capital stock and treat the exploitation of that resource in much the same way as one would treat accumulation of a capital stock.
