Guiding the Formation of Surface‐Confined 2D Metal–Organic Coordination Networks by Variation of Constituent Landing Energy in Electrospray Deposition of an Iron(II) Grid Complex

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Electrospray ion beam deposition (ES‐IBD) of an Fe(II) [2 × 2] grid complex onto Ag(111) reveals landing energy‐dependent fragmentation and self‐assembly. At higher landing energies, novel coordination networks emerge. This study highlights the unique potential of ES‐IBD in creating diverse metal–organic architectures on surfaces.

ACTUAL: Audio Captioning With Caption Feature Space Regularization

IEEE/ACM Transactions on Audio, Speech, and Language Processing, 2023
Audio captioning aims at describing the content of audio clips with human language. Due to the ambiguity of audio content, different people may perceive the same audio clip differently, resulting in caption disparities (i.e., the same audio clip may be described by several captions with diverse semantics). In the literature, the one-to-many strategy is

Detecting caption using caption histograms

SPIE Proceedings, 2002
ABSTRACT We present a method to locate the caption area of frames in videos. Histogram can be extracted easily from an image, while the color of caption area is apparently brighter than other areas. Unlike previously published methods of usingedge detection methods to detect the edge of caption from images, this method uses the caption histogram to ...

Tactile Captions: Augmenting Visual Captions

2014
We explore the efficacy of tactile captions as a supplement to online captioned video. Closed captions are not fully accessible, because many auditory signals are not easily represented by words, e.g., the sound of the ball being hit by a bat, or to describe a ring tone.

Cover Caption

Insect Science, 2023
The social aphid Pseudoregma bambucicola can produce morphologically and behaviorally specialized sterile soldiers and reproductively normal nymphs, and represents a good model system for studying social evolution. The cover photo shows a colony of this species on bamboo, in which several parthenogenetic viviparous mothers are producing offspring ...
