2021Car use has a negative impact on the environment and quality of life. CO2-emissions resulting from car-use contribute to global warming, and the particulate matters released to the air reduces the quality of air, thereby posing health threats. Despite these negative consequences, many people still prefer to own and use a car.

This paper describes a Self-Organizing Traffic Information System (SOTIS) which is purely based on IVC and which does not need any expensive infrastructure.

There is a great drive in process to encourage and even force parents to use safe car seats for their infants and children. This is a very worthwhile project, but I wish to question the reality orientation of those pediatricians who approach this endeavor with such optimistic enthusiasm.
