In Situ Self‐Nanostructuring Enables Fast‐Recharging of an Aqueous‐Processed Organic Small Molecule Cathode

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 31, 2 June 2026.
Self‐nanostructuring of redox‐active organic small molecules through in situ electrochemical postcrosslinking enabled an aqueous‐processed, stable, fast‐rechargeable organic electrode even with a high active content ratio and mass loading. ABSTRACT Redox‐active organic materials (ROMs) for batteries are emerging as sustainable alternatives to inorganic

Radiation‐Hardened Perovskite Solar Cells Enabled by Redox‐Active V2Ox Hole Transport Layer for Space Applications

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 6, Issue 6, June 2026.
A redox‐active V2Ox/self‐assembled layer bilayer hole transport layer improves the proton radiation resilience of perovskite solar cells for space applications. The V2Ox interface suppresses irradiation‐induced metallic Pb formation while buffering interfacial degradation, highlighting metal oxide interfacial engineering as a practical route toward ...

Metal–Organic Frameworks as Programable Platforms for Micro‐ and Optoelectronics: From Dielectrics to Semiconductors and White‐Light Emitters

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 6, Issue 6, June 2026.
Programable metal–organic framework (MOF) architectures are revealed as versatile micro‐ and optoelectronic platforms, spanning low/high‐κ dielectrics, semiconductive frameworks, and electrically driven phosphor‐free white emitters. Metal nodes, π‐conjugated linkers, guests, and confined water emerge as decisive handles for tuning charge transport ...

3D‐Printed Optical Volatile Organic Compound Sensors Based on Donor‐Substituted Coumarin Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence Emitters

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 6, Issue 6, June 2026.
Donor–acceptor coumarin emitters displaying thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) are formulated into photocurable resins and processed by digital light processing (DLP) 3D printing. The resulting printed materials show a sensitive and repeatable photoluminescence response when exposed to volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Structural modification of functionalized carbazoles: from Z′ = 1 to Z′ = 6

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section B, Volume 82, Issue 3, Page 339-343, June 2026.
The crystal structure of a 2,3,9,9a‐tetrahydro‐1H‐carbazole in the space group Ia is reported, showing Z′ = 6 and approximate Fdd2 symmetry, and compared to the low Z′ crystal structures of two closely related congeners.Crystal structures with asymmetric units comprising large numbers of molecules (Z′ > 4) remain rare.

Tapinarof as a Therapeutic Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor‐Modulating Agent in the Treatment of Atopic Dermatitis

open access: yesThe Journal of Dermatology, Volume 53, Issue 6, Page 867-879, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory dermatitis underpinned by Type 2 inflammation driven by cytokines such as IL‐4 and IL‐13. It is characterized by skin barrier dysfunction, Th2 immune deviation, and pruritus. While biologics and oral Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors demonstrate high therapeutic efficacy by targeting cytokines that ...
