Anti-Breast Cancer Properties and In Vivo Safety Profile of a Bis-Carbazole Derivative

open access: yesPharmaceutics
Background: Carbazoles represent one of the most important classes of nitrogen-based tricyclic aromatic heterocycles and are present in natural sources and chemically obtained drugs.

Effects of Lycium barbarum Residue Substituting Dietary Maize on Fecal Microbiota and Growth Performance of Crossbred Simmental Cattle

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
The bioactive substances we extracted from Lycium barbarum residue (LBR) have a typical polysaccharide structure. When 1.80% LBR was used to replace maize in the diet, the average daily gain of rossbred Simmental was significantly increased, and anti‐inflammatory ability was improved. In addition, LBR improved the fecal microbial composition, increased

Atomically precise metal cluster enzymes for pathological tissue regeneration

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of atomically precise metal cluster enzymes (MCEs) for pathological tissue regeneration. Atomically precise MCEs can modulate biological processes, such as attenuation of inflammatory responses, eradication of bacterial pathogens, regulation of angiogenesis, and promotion of cell development.

Distinct Ligand‐ and Metal‐Centered Phosphorescence in a Terbium Carbazolyl Complex

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Terbium and lanthanum carbazolide complexes show two distinct modes of luminescence: Strongly temperature‐dependent narrow‐line terbium emission could be induced. In addition, both the terbium and the lanthanum complexes show broad‐line interligand emission processes with excited states of microsecond life‐time.

Green Electrochromic Film Formation via Phenylcarbazole Polymerization in Ionic Liquids

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The scheme depicts the three‐step electropolymerization of two electrochromic polycarbazole derivatives, 4‐(9H‐carbazol‐9‐yl)phenol and 4‐(3‐methoxy‐9H‐carbazol‐9‐yl)phenol, performed at constant potential using the green ionic liquid BMIM TFSI. This medium enables controlled polymer growth and enhances electrochromic performance, yielding robust and ...

Single‐Step Synthesis of Dithieno[3,2‐b:2′,3′‐e]Pyridines and Their Acid‐Dependent Optical and Photosensitising Properties

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The synthesis of dithieno[3,2‐b:2′,3′‐e]pyridines (DTPs) is herein reported, and their optical properties are studied both experimentally and computationally. Protonation or methylation of the nitrogen atom induced bathochromic shifts in their absorption and emission spectra.

One‐Shot Pd(II)‐Catalyzed Multiple C–H Activation Enables Modular Construction of Fluorenylidene Oxindole‐Based Multi(Polycyclic) Aromatic Enes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A one‐shot Pd(II)‐catalyzed C─H activation strategy enables the rapid conversion of simple linear propiolamides into structurally diverse mono‐, di‐, and tri‐olefin‐bridged MPAEs. This cascade process orchestrates up to six sequential C–H activations in a single operation, providing streamlined access to highly conjugated architectures.

Asymmetric Diphosphane Dioxides With A–π–A–π’–D Scaffolds for High‐Purity Deep‐Blue Luminescence

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Diphosphane dioxide‐based luminophores with donor–π–acceptor– π’–acceptor scaffold enable efficient deep‐blue emission from tunable charge‐transfer states affording high photoluminescence up to 95%. OLEDs reach EQE 4.9%, aided by triplet–triplet annihilation, highlighting a practical route to high‐performance blue emitters.

Cyclopropylamine‐Derived Distonic Iminium Radicals: Photoinduced Strategies in Chemo‐ and Stereo‐Selective Synthesis

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Cyclopropylamines have emerged as powerful photocatalytic building blocks. Upon light‐induced single‐electron oxidation, they undergo strain‐release ring opening to generate distonic iminium radicals that enable diverse transformations, including ring‐opening functionalization, formal [3 + 2] cycloadditions, radical cascades, and asymmetric bond ...

Synthesis of Tris(indol‐3‐yl)methanes From Indoles, CO2, and Dimethylphenylsilane With BPh3: Two‐Step Construction of π‐Conjugated Systems

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Tris(indol‐3‐yl)methanes were synthesized from indoles, CO2, and PhMe2SiH in the presence of BPh3 in acetonitrile at 50°C. One product, tris(4‐bromo‐1‐methylindol‐3‐yl)methane, underwent a palladium‐catalyzed cascade reaction for the formation of a novel polycyclic heteroaromatic compound, where the methine C(sp3) atom originating from CO2 was ...
