3D Chromatin Architecture Provides Insights Into Leaf Trait Variation Among Pear Species

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Three‐dimensional (3D) chromatin architecture plays a fundamental role in eukaryotic gene regulations, its functional significance in perennial fruit trees remains poorly characterized despite extensive applications in crop genomics. Here, we developed high‐resolution (∼5 kb) Hi‐C maps of Pyrus and compared 3D genomic architecture of three ...

Sex‐Specific Regulation of Glycemic Homeostasis by Theabrownin from Pu‐erh Tea

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pu‐erh tea's key component, theabrownin (TB), lowers blood glucose in a sex‐specific manner. In females, estrogen boosts intestinal MUC2 production, which dramatically enhances TB's ability to inhibit the carbohydrate‐digesting enzyme α‐glucosidase.

Alteration in Hepatic Enzyme Activity of Tilapia mossambica upon Exposure to Fluoride

open access: yesRADS Journal of Biological Research & Applied Science, 2018
Fluoride, as the super reactive element fluorine, is found naturally throughout earth's crust. It has been identified as a strong, persistent powerful cumulative toxic agent, commonly distributed in the rivers, lakes, seas of earth.

G3BP1 Succinylation at K413 is Critical for Cardiac Function by Modulating PI3K‐AKT‐mTOR Signal Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic illustrating the impact of G3BP1 succinylation at K413 on cardiac function. In the healthy human heart, G3BP1 succinylation maintains homeostatic mTOR signaling. In patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and heart failure (HF), G3BP1 de‐succinylation induces RagA expression and disrupts the binding of the TSC1/2 complex, leading to the ...

Lignocellulose adaptation drives polysaccharide biosynthesis in Tremella fuciformis: metabolomic and proteomic insights into CAZyme regulation

open access: yesFrontiers in Fungal Biology
Background/ObjectivesTremella fuciformis is an edible fungus prized for its culinary value. The polysaccharide content of T. fuciformis grown on a Cyclobalanopsis substrate (TY3) was significantly higher than those grown on a mixed substrate (TF1) made ...

eQTL Meta‐Analysis Reveals Conserved and Population‐Specific Regulatory Variation Underlying Nutritional Trait Evolution and Domestication in Tomato

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A comprehensive meta‐analysis of expression quantitative trait loci (eQTLs) across five diverse tomato populations reveals a high‐resolution atlas of transcriptional regulation and uncovers conserved and population‐specific regulatory architectures underlying fruit nutritional quality traits, including flavonoids, sugars, organic acids, carotenoids ...
