Evaluation of Carbon-11 Labelled Phenylglycine and Phenylalanine for Pancreas Scintigraphy
Nuklearmedizin, 1975SummaryCarbon-11 (t½ = 20.4 min, β+) labelled DL-α-phenylalanine and DL-α-phenylglycine were administered intravenously to rats and the distribution of the radioactive amino acids over pancreas, liver, spleen, kidneys and blood was measured after several time intervals.

Relationship of molecular structure to in vivo distribution of carbon-11-labeled compounds
European Journal of Nuclear Medicine, 1980Six 11C-labeled aliphatic diamines containing 4–9 linear carbon atoms were synthesized in radiochemical yields of 57% to 84% by reduction of the intermediate 11C-dinitriles prepared from Na 11CN and the corresponding bromonitrile or dibromoalkane. The biodistribution of each 11C-diamine was studied in male Sprague-Dawley rats.

A new synthesis of carbon-11 labelled phosgene
International Journal of Radiation Applications and Instrumentation. Part A. Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 1987Abstract [11C]Phosgene is an important precursor in the 11C labelling of certain medically useful molecules. Phosgene allows a carbonyl function to be inserted between two stereo-chemically close amino functions. Until now, [11C]phosgene has been synthesized from [11C]carbon dioxide.

Reactions of recoiling carbon-11 atoms with toluene
The Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1986Formation of benzocyclobutene, a characteristic rearrangement product of tolylmethylenes, strongly suggests that these species are formed as intermediates in the reactions of recoiling carbon-11 atoms and toluene. Degradation and additive studies indicated that both singlet and triplet carbon atoms can lead to benzocyclobutene formation through ...

We used PET to characterize the uptake and decarboxylation of 11C-L-DOPA in vivo in two patients with endocrine pancreatic tumors: one glucagonoma and one gastrinoma. With L-DOPA labeled with 11C in the beta position, in which the radioactive label follows the molecule through decarboxylation to dopamine, significant uptake was observed in the tumors ...

PET studies were carried out on brain dopamine D1 receptors using two new ligands, [11C]SCH 39166 and [11C]NNC 756.Four normal subjects and eight predominantly unilateral patients with early Parkinson's disease were investigated. Each of them underwent both a PET scan with [11C]SCH 39166 and one with [11C]NNC 756.
