GPX4 Inhibitor Resistance and Metastatic Features in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer
This study establishes breast cancer cell lines that are resistant to glutathione peroxidase 4 inhibitors (GPX4i) in vitro and investigates the metastatic capacity of the GPX4i‐resistant versus parental lines in vivo. GPX4i‐resistant cells survive upon intravenous injection, but lose capacity to spontaneously metastasize.

Genome‐Guided Discovery of Antimalarial 4‐Amino‐2,4‐Pentadienoate‐Containing Cyclolipodepsipeptides
Halogenated and glycosylated 4‐amino‐2,4‐pentadienoate‐containing cyclolipodepsipeptides (APD‐CLDs) exhibit potent antiplasmodial activity (IC50 = 25–161 nM) against drug‐sensitive and resistant Plasmodium falciparum strains. ABSTRACT 4‐Amino‐2,4‐pentadienoate‐containing cyclolipodepsipeptides (APD‐CLDs) represent a structurally distinctive family of ...

Highly efficient heritable targeted deletions of gene clusters and non-coding regulatory regions in Arabidopsis using CRISPR/Cas9 [PDF]
Genome editing using CRISPR/Cas9 is considered the best instrument for genome engineering in plants. This methodology is based on the nuclease activity of Cas9 that is guided to specific genome sequences by single guide RNAs (sgRNAs) thus enabling ...

Iterative design and optimization of initially inactive Proteolysis Targeting Chimeras (PROTACs) identify VZ185 as a potent, fast and selective von Hippel-Lindau (VHL)-based dual degrader probe of BRD9 and BRD7 [PDF]
Developing PROTACs to redirect the ubiquitination activity of E3 ligases and potently degrade a target protein within cells can be a lengthy and unpredictable process, and it remains unclear whether any combination of E3 and target might be productive ...

ABSTRACT Yeast sugar transporters have highly evolved for preferential glucose transport, a significant roadblock for utilizing non‐glucose sugars in renewable feedstocks such as lignocellulosic biomass. To enable simultaneous transport of multiple sugars, native hexose transporters were replaced by SWEET7p from Arabidopsis thaliana in engineered ...
