We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Carbon Accounting: Issues of Scale
Accounting for carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to the atmosphere is being widely implemented at many spatial, temporal, and organizational scales—country or city, year or day, corporation or consumer—and we pose the question, “What are the useful scales of carbon accounting and what issues does scale bring?” Financial accounting is typically at the ...

We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.
