Finance and Carbon Emissions [PDF]
We study the relation between the structure of financial systems and carbon emissions in a large panel of countries and industries over the period 1990-2013. We find that for given levels of economic and financial development and environmental regulation, CO2 emissions per capita are lower in economies that are relatively more equity-funded.

The Green Bank Telescope H II Region Discovery Survey: IV. Helium and Carbon Recombination Lines [PDF]
The Green Bank Telescope H II Region Discovery Survey (GBT HRDS) found hundreds of previously unknown Galactic regions of massive star formation by detecting hydrogen radio recombination line (RRL) emission from candidate H II region targets.

Effects of atmospheric circulations on the interannual variation in PM2.5 concentrations over the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region in 2013–2018 [PDF]
The Chinese government has made many efforts to mitigate fine particulate matter pollution in recent years by taking strict measures on air pollutant reduction, which has generated the nationwide improvements in air quality since 2013. However, under the

Carbon emissions, carbon disclosure and organizational performance
This study draws on the multi-perspectives of organizational legitimacy theory to investigate the simultaneous association between corporate carbon emissions, carbon disclosure and organizational performance. Based on a sample of 62 UK Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) 100 firms in carbon-sensitive sectors during 2010–2017, we find that carbon ...

Further detections of OH masers in carbon stars with silicate features [PDF]
A sample of J-type carbon stars was searched for OH maser emission. The new detection of three OH lines towards two silicate carbon stars is reported. In V778 Cyg, previously known as the main-lines (1665 and 1667 MHz) maser source, the satellite 1612 ...

Corporate Carbon Emission Statements
Current corporate disclosures regarding carbon emissions lack commonly accepted accounting rules. The accrual accounting system for carbon emissions described here is grounded in the rules of historical cost accounting for operating assets, enabling the preparation of balance sheets and flow statements.
