Carbon emission of urban vehicles based on carbon emission factor correlation analysis. [PDF]

open access: yesSci Rep
The CO2 emission factor is the basis for analyzing vehicle CO2 emissions. This study establishes a correlation model between the fuel CO2 emission factor and the mileage-based CO2 emission factor using fuel consumption data, then analyzes the fuel consumption and CO2 emission situation of vehicles in Beijing with the established models.

Human metabolic emissions of carbon dioxide and methane and their implications for carbon emissions [PDF]

open access: yesScience of The Total Environment, 2022
Carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) are important greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and have large impacts on Earth's radiative forcing and climate. Their natural and anthropogenic emissions have often been in focus, while the role of human metabolic emissions has received less attention.

The impact of the establishment of carbon emission trade exchange on carbon emission efficiency

open access: yesEnvironmental Science and Pollution Research, 2022
Abstract The China government focuses on changes in carbon emissions efficiency with establishing carbon emissions trade exchange (CETE). It is meaningful to study whether the pilot CETEs can facilitate the betterment of carbon emissions efficiency.

Finance and Carbon Emissions [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2019
We study the relation between the structure of financial systems and carbon emissions in a large panel of countries and industries over the period 1990-2013. We find that for given levels of economic and financial development and environmental regulation, CO2 emissions per capita are lower in economies that are relatively more equity-funded.

Analysis of the Impact of Carbon Trading Policies on Carbon Emission and Carbon Emission Efficiency

open access: yesSustainability, 2022
As the carbon trading scheme has a significant impact on China’s sustainable economy and environmental protection, the policy influence of carbon emissions and carbon emission efficiency in pilot provinces has become a key research topic. Based on the data of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2007 to 2018, this paper estimates carbon emission ...

Game—A Carbon Emissions Game [PDF]

open access: yesINFORMS Transactions on Education, 2017
This paper describes a carbon trading game to be played in a classroom setting. The game is modeled on real-world electric power markets with a carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions cap, often referred to as a “cap-and-trade” system. Players assume the roles of competing utilities, each with a fossil fuel plant and a renewable energy plant.
