Quasi-ballistic electron transport in double-wall carbon nanotubes

open access: yes, 2004
Room-temperature quasi-ballistic electron transport in double-wall carbon nanotubes (DWNT) is demonstrated. Conductance dependence on the length was measured by submerging DWNTs into liquid mercury.

NiO/CNTs Nanocomposite Modified Ionic Liquid Carbon Paste Electrode as a Voltammetric Sensor for Determination of Quercetin [PDF]

open access: yes
A high sensitive carbon paste electrode modified with NiO/CNTs and ionic liquid (ILs/NiO/CNT/CPE) was describe for voltammetric determination of quercetin. Compared to unmodified carbon paste electrode, the electrochemical response was greatly improved

Highly flexible, foldable, and rollable microsupercapacitors on an ultrathin polyimide substrate with high power density. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The design and functionality of extremely flexible, foldable, and rollable microsupercapacitors (MSCs) with in-plane interdigital electrodes that consist of single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) networks on an ultrathin polyimide substrate are ...

A new diamond biosensor with integrated graphitic microchannels for detecting quantal exocytic events from chromaffin cells

open access: yes, 2013
The quantal release of catecholamines from neuroendocrine cells is a key mechanism which has been investigated with a broad range of materials and devices, among which carbon-based materials such as carbon fibers, diamond-like carbon, carbon nanotubes ...

Electrochemical detection and characterization of caffeine in selected tea samples using polyglycine modified Carbon paste electrode

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Chemical Engineering
Glycine was electro-polymerized against a carbon paste electrode (CPE) to produce a polymer film via the electro-oxidation process comprising amino (-NH2) and carboxylic (-COOH) groups, by a cyclic voltammetric.

A Route to Surface-bound Metalloporphyrins as Models for Oxygen Reduction Catalysts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The attachment nonmetal and magnesium ethynyl terminated porphyrin (TEPP and MgTEPP) to glassy carbon electrode was achieved through voltammetry. These attached porphyrins were studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and UV-visible spectroscopy. Surface-bound
