Optimization of Multi‐Millet Cookie Formulation Using Mixture Design and Their Physicochemical Characterization

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
Sensory‐driven optimization of multi‐millet cookie formulation using RSM. ABSTRACT The effect of the composition of multi‐millet flour on the sensory acceptability of gluten‐free cookies containing xanthan gum as a binding agent was investigated and optimized.

Fibroids and infertility

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract The presence of uterine fibroids impacts fertility through multiple mechanisms. While subserosal fibroids have minimal impact, especially when of reduced size, the presence of intramural fibroids impacts both the likelihood of pregnancy and its outcomes.

The Role of Carrageenan and Carboxymethylcellulose in the Development of Intestinal Inflammation

open access: yesFrontiers in Pediatrics, 2017
Although the exact pathophysiology remains unknown, the development of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is influenced by the interplay between genetics, the immune system, and environmental factors such as diet.

Evanescent-wave coupled right angled buried waveguide: Applications in carbon nanotube mode-locking [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper we present a simple but powerful subgraph sampling primitive that is applicable in a variety of computational models including dynamic graph streams (where the input graph is defined by a sequence of edge/hyperedge insertions and deletions)

Napabucasin transforms liver microenvironment and boosts immunotherapy efficacy by converting potential metastases into “hot” tumors

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Napabucasin reduces liver metastases by reprogramming the hepatic microenvironment. It induces hepatocyte secretion of CCL21 via c‐Fos activation, recruiting lymphocytes and converting “cold” metastases into immunologically “hot” tumors. This effect is liver‐specific and independent of cancer cells.

Estudo das interações entre o complexo polieletrolítico trimetilquitosana/carboximetilcelulose e Cu+2, ácido húmico e atrazina em solução aquosa Study of the interactions between the polyelectrolyte complex trimethylchitosan/carboxymethylcellulose and Cu+2, humic acid and atrazine in aqueous solution

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2009
The polyelectrolyte complex (PEC) resulting from the reaction of sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and N,N,N-trimethylchitosan hydrochloride (TMQ) was prepared and then characterized by infrared spectroscopy and energy dispersive X rays analysis.

Probiotic consumption reduces alveolar bone loss and kidney damage in pregnant rats with experimental periodontitis

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis HN019 (B. lactis HN019) is a probiotic bacterial strain with immunomodulatory properties. Its benefits have been observed in healthy and systemically compromised animals with periodontitis (PD). Our objective was to investigate the local and systemic effects of the systemic administration of B.
