Laponite Network Controls FGF‐2 Release and Drives Functional Nerve Regeneration via 3D‐Printed Nerve Wrap Interfaces

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
We developed a 3D‐printed nerve interface integrating a biomimetic nanocomposite hydrogel with sustained delivery of thermostable FGF‐2. The bioactive interface supports Schwann cell activity and myelination while providing a regenerative microenvironment.

An Intelligent Gel Label for Non-destructive Monitoring of the Freshness of Fresh-Cut Netted Melon [PDF]

open access: yesShipin Kexue
In this study, a novel intelligent gel label for the real-time monitoring of the freshness of fresh-cut netted melon was fabricated using carrageenan, sodium carboxymethylcellulose and xanthan gum as the matrix materials and bromothymol blue (BTB) as the

Updated EAACI Statement on Drug Hypersensitivity Skin Testing: Methodology and Non‐Irritative Concentrations

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT These updated EAACI guidelines aim to standardize skin testing methodologies for both immediate and non‐immediate drug hypersensitivity reactions. For immediate reactions, the optimal testing window is 4–6 weeks post‐reaction; whereas beyond 6 months, false‐negative results increase.

THE DETERMINATION OF THE DEGREE OF SUBSTITUTION OF CARBOXYMETHYLCELLULOSE OVER THE ENTIRE SUBSTITUTION RANGE

open access: yes, 1950
The published methods for the determination of the degree of substitution of carboxymethylcellulose were found to be unsatisfactory for samples of high degree of substitution.

Glutathione accelerates sodium channel inactivation in excised rat axonal membrane patches [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
The effects of glutathione were studied on the gating behaviour of sodium channels in membrane patches of rat axons. Depolarizing pulses from –120 to –40 mV elicited sodium currents of up to 500 pA, indicating the simultaneous activation of up to 250 ...

A Hypothesis for determining the maximum viscosity of sodium carboxymethylcellulose in solutions of divalent cations of high ionic strength [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
A hypothesis for deterrnining the maximum viscosity of sodium carboxymethylcellulose (or CMC) in salt solutions with respect to the concentration of CMC, the ionic strength and the cation size of the salts is proposed.

Wettability of saliva substitutes across various denture base fabrication techniques

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose The present study evaluated the contact angles (CAs) of four denture base materials subjected to different surface treatments using deionized water and saliva substitutes. Material and Methods A total of 32 rectangular specimens were manufactured using four different denture base materials: heat‐cured compression molded Lucitone 199 (C)

Pharmacological Modulation of Nrf2 Signaling Regulates Oxidative Stress, Inflammation, and Alveolar Bone Loss in Experimental Periodontitis

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
Pharmacological activation of Nrf2 attenuated alveolar bone loss and protected periodontal tissues by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress, preserving collagen organization, and favoring bone homeostasis. Reversal of these effects by Nrf2 inhibition further supports Nrf2 signaling as a promising therapeutic target in periodontitis.
