Clinical performance of LOCI™-based tumor marker assays for tumor markers CA 15-3, CA 125, CEA, CA 19-9 and AFP in gynecological cancers

open access: yesTumor Biology, 2017
Evidence is sparse regarding the clinical performance of luminescent oxygen channeling immunoassays–based tumor marker assays in gynecological cancer. Analyzing serum samples of 336 patients with Dimension™Vista1500, we investigated the diagnostic power ...

Carcinoembryonic antigen in sputum.

open access: yesThe Tohoku Journal of Experimental Medicine, 1982
Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) levels in sputum from patients with lung cancers (15), other malignancies (7) and non-malignant pulmonary diseases (30) were measured by enzyme immunoassay. The mean value +/- S.E. (ng/ml) of CEA levels in sputum was 3,682 +/- 1,648, 630 +/- 473 and 444 +/- 102, respectively.

Carcinoembryonic Antigen in Children With Neuroblastoma12 [PDF]

open access: yesJNCI: Journal of the National Cancer Institute, 1976
Plasma carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) was assayed with a radioimmune procedure in 27 healthy control children. The upper limit of plasma CEA (mean +2 SD) was derived from healthy controls and was 3.35 ng/ml. This value was compared with those obtained from 15 children with active neuroblastoma, 7 with active embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma, 16 with treated ...

Label‐Free and Low‐Power Driven Cancer Biomarker Detection Enabled by 2D Hexagonal Titanium Oxide

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A low‐power driven FET biosensor based on 2D hexagonal TiO2 detects the cancer biomarker carcinoembryonic antigen with high sensitivity, a low detection limit of 0.22 pg mL−1, and excellent selectivity. Leveraging the unique electronic properties of the material, this work demonstrates strong potential for integration into miniature and portable cancer
