The number of papers published in the topic of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) increased remarkably from last year. The prevalence of chronic hepatitis C infection has increased the incidence of HCC. However, studies confirm that obesity and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease are important factors for the development of HCC in the United States.

Pituitary carcinoma is a extremely rare and is characterized by a very poor prognosis. Even if at diagnosis the presence of metastases is required to define a pituitary carcinoma, the lesion was almost invariably diagnosed first as a benign pituitary tumor, that after a variable period of latency, ranging from few months to many years, changed its ...

Gastric cancer continues to be a major global health problem. In the American College of Surgeons Patient Care study on gastric cancer, 5-year disease-specific survival was 26%, with an overall survival of 14%. Improvements in survival will require both earlier diagnosis and new therapeutic strategies.

Sebaceous carcinoma is a rare, aggressive, malignant tumor derived from the adnexal epithelium of sebaceous glands. It may arise in ocular or extraocular sites and exhibits such a variety of histologic growth patterns and diverse clinical presentations that the diagnosis is often delayed for months to years.

This article reviews current knowledge on the etiology, diagnosis and treatment of parathyroid carcinoma.Due to its rarity, research on the molecular etiology and treatment of parathyroid carcinoma has been slow. Mutations of the tumor suppressor gene, HRPT2, and resultant loss of expression of its gene product have been found in the majority of ...

Carcinoma Erysipelatodes and Carcinoma Telangiectaticum
Archives of Dermatology, 1958Under the term "cancer erythema" Jonathan Hutchinson in 1886 described the affection which we now designate carcinoma erysipelatodes, which is perhaps most commonly and most readily seen in relation to cancer of the breast. Although gastric cancer is still a worldwide major public health concern, it remains relatively uncommon in the Western countries. Despite improvement in surgical morbidity and mortality, as well as significant advancement of chemotherapy and radiotherapy options, the survival for gastric cancer has not significantly improved over the past decades.

AbstractFifty‐five patients with periampullary caicinoma have been treated during a period of 32 years. This tumor represents only 0.01% of our solid tumor cases. Contrary to widely accepted opinion, periampullary carcinoma is not painless in many patients, and a palpable gallbladder is present in only 20% of patients.Twenty‐four patients had a ...
