TWEAK/Fn14 signaling drives oxidative cardiac injury in systemic lupus erythematosus: Evidence from patient biomarker studies, lupus mouse models, and cardiomyocyte assays

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objective Cardiac involvement is a major cause of morbidity in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Tumor necrosis factor–like weak inducer of apoptosis (TWEAK) is elevated in SLE, but its contribution to lupus‐associated cardiac injury is unclear. We investigated the role of TWEAK/Fn14 signaling in SLE‐related cardiomyopathy and its potential as a ...

Comparison of JB4 plastic resin and standard paraffin methods on student performance and student perspectives in digital histology education: A randomized controlled study

open access: yesAnatomical Sciences Education, EarlyView.
Abstract This randomized controlled study compared the effectiveness of histological preparations embedded in glycol methacrylate‐based JB4 plastic resin with traditional paraffin blocks in digital histology education. A total of 297 second‐year medical students at Sivas Cumhuriyet University participated.

Efficacy, safety and cost‐effectiveness of CAR‐T therapy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
CAR T‐cells demonstrate high efficacy in blood cancers, including ALL, MM and DLBCL. Innovations target solid tumours despite challenges such as antigen escape. Combination therapies enhance the delivery and infiltration of CAR T cells. Toxicity, cost and resistance remain major barriers to clinical use.

Optimizing biophysical properties of cellular niches to enhance stem cell‐derived extracellular vesicle function in musculoskeletal regeneration

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from stem cells show promise for applications in regenerative medicine, but their scalability and yield remain challenges. This review explores the approaches for biophysical modulations within cell niches on EV properties, discusses the current clinical application of EVs, and provides an outlook on the existing ...
