Troponin not just a simple cardiac marker: prognostic significance of cardiac troponin
Objective The object of this study was to review the role of cardiac troponin as a prognostic factor in acute coronary syndrome patients of varying circumstances. Data sources The data used in this review were obtained mainly from the studies of cardiac troponin reported in pubmed ...

ABSTRACT Autosomal recessive loss‐of‐function variants in PPP1R13L cause an ultra‐rare cardiocutaneous syndrome characterized by rapidly progressive arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM). PPP1R13L encodes iASPP, which has two potentially overlapping mechanisms driving ACM as both a regulator of NFκB‐mediated inflammation and a binding partner within the ...

Cardiac troponin T as a serum biomarker of respiratory impairment in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
Objective Informative biomarkers are an urgent need in the management of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Serum cardiac troponin T is elevated in the majority of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients and increases with disease progression.

Human pluripotent stem cells were differentiated to cTnT+ cardiomyocytes and imaged throughout the process using phase contrast. We predicted differentiation efficiency (cTnT+ area) from phase contrast and compared model performance with a live‐cell cTnT‐GFP reporter.

Mitochondria‐endoplasmic reticulum contact sites (MERCS) are areas where the mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum closely interact. In this study, we utilize synthetic organelle glues to artificially engineer MERCS for regulating cardiomyocyte development, through which the immature and chemo‐plasticity issues of undifferentiated cells are addressed.

ABSTRACT Index of microcirculatory resistance (IMR) is a cutting‐edge, wire‐based tool that advances the capability assessment of coronary microvascular function. By utilizing distal coronary pressure and mean transit time under maximal hyperemia, IMR delivers consistent, reproducible insights into the microvasculature's dynamic health.

ABSTRACT Background The residual Gensini score (rGS) was developed to quantify the severity of coronary atheroma burden after coronary revascularisation. The predictive value of the rGS for clinical outcomes in patients with ST‐segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) remains unexplored.
