INTENSE PHYSICAL EXERCISE RELATED TO THE EMERGENT GENERATION OF CARDIOVASCULAR RISK MARKERS: A REVIEW [PDF]
Objective: The present review was performed in order to bring together the current knowledge about the impact of intense physical exercise on cardiovascular function, especially on plasma levels of cardiovascular risk markers such as cardiac troponin T ...

This study highlights that radioimmunotherapy drives crosstalk between fibroblasts and immune cells (especially macrophages) in the cardiac microenvironment, with IL‐6 as the key mediator, and tocilizumab alleviates cardiac fibrosis by targeting this interplay.

Cardiac biomarkers in premature calves with respiratory distress syndrome [PDF]
The aim of this study was to determine the clinical relevance of cardiac biomarkers [troponin I and T, creatine kinase-MB fraction (CK-MB) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH)] in premature calves with respiratory distress syndrome.

Biomarkers Beyond the Natriuretic Peptides for Chronic Heart Failure: Galectin-3 and Soluble ST2. [PDF]
B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) and NT-proBNP are widely used plasma biomarkers for the diagnosis of acute decompensated heart failure and prognosis for future cardiac disease.

Impact of troponin I on outcome of ischemic stroke patients
Introduction. Stroke is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality. Cardiac troponins have been found to be increased in other conditions apart from the cardiac diseases, such as stroke.

Soluble CD40 ligand in acute coronary syndromes [PDF]
BACKGROUND: CD40 ligand is expressed on platelets and released from them on activation. We investigated the predictive value of soluble CD40 ligand as a marker for clinical outcome and the therapeutic effect of glycoprotein IIb/IIIa receptor inhibition ...

TRIM40 Drives Pathological Cardiac Hypertrophy and Heart Failure via Ubiquitination of PKN2
This study identifies the E3 ligase TRIM40 as a key driver of pathological cardiac hypertrophy. TRIM40 binds PKN2 via its B‐box domain and, through its C29‐dependent catalytic activity, mediates K63‐linked ubiquitination of PKN2. This modification enhances PKN2 phosphorylation at Ser815, thereby driving hypertrophy.

Predictors of significant coronary artery disease in atrial fibrillation: are cardiac troponins a useful measure [PDF]
Background Cardiac Troponin I (cTnI) is frequently measured in patients presenting with symptomatic atrial fibrillation (AF). The significance of elevated cTnI levels in this patient cohort is unclear.

Doxorubicin (DOX)‐induced cardiotoxicity is a major limitation to its broader clinical application, while cardioprotective interventions often risk reducing the anticancer efficacy of DOX. To address these challenges, this work constructs an EDTA‐functionalized metal–organic framework that enhances tumor therapy and provides efficient cardioprotection ...
