Solid Phase Peptide Carrier Conjugation

2015
Conjugation to carrier proteins is necessary for peptides to be able to induce antibody formation when injected into animals together with a suitable adjuvant. This is usually performed by conjugation in solution followed by mixing with the adjuvant. Alternatively, the carrier may be adsorbed onto a solid support followed by activation and conjugation ...

Carrier phase synchronization for GMSK signals

International Journal of Satellite Communications, 2002
AbstractSeveral carrier phase recovery schemes for Gaussian minimum shift keying (GMSK) modulated signals are derived and analysed in terms of squaring loss and acquisition time. Two bandwidths are considered for the GMSK signal:BTb=0.5 and 0.25, following the recommendations of the Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems.

Phase-comparison carrier-current relaying

Electrical Engineering, 1945
DIFFERENTIAL PROTECTION is recognized as the ideal means of quickly isolating faulty electric equipment. The carrier-current relaying system described herein is a differential system comparing the phase angles, via a carrier-current channel, of the currents entering and leaving a transmission-line section, and is known as phase-comparison carrier ...

Carrier phase jitter sensitivity for single-carrier and multi-carrier QAM systems

IEEE Second Symposium on Communications and Vehicular Technology in the Benelux, 2002
Investigates how the carrier phase jitter of a phase-locked oscillator for IF-to-baseband conversion affects the performance of single-carrier QAM (SC-QAM) and multi-carrier QAM (MC-QAM). This phase jitter reduces the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at the input of the decision device, and therefore gives rise to an increase of the bit error rate.

Multiplier-free Carrier Phase Estimation for Low Complexity Carrier Frequency and Phase Recovery

National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference, 2012
Carrier phase estimation for QPSK modulation is demonstrated using only real-valued additions without any multiplication or angle computation. Based on simulation and offline data, the same performance as the widely considered 4th-power algorithm is reached.

Carrier Wave Phase Synchronizers

2009 Fourth International Conference on Digital Telecommunications, 2009
This work study four carrier wave phase synchronizers (CWPS) or carrier wave Phase Lock Loop (CWPLL).The VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) output of the phase synchronizer synchronizes directly with the input carrier wave.We consider four carrier synchronizers namely the analog, hybrid, combinational and sequential.

Multiple-phase codes for detection without carrier phase reference

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1998
Summary: The authors consider the construction and analysis of linear block codes for \(M\)-ary phase-shift keying that can be decoded without carrier phase synchronization. Under these circumstances, the function that has a significant impact on performance is the noncoherent distance, analogously to the Euclidean distance for the coherent case.

Efficient estimation of continuous phase modulation with unknown carrier phase

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1997
Summary: An efficient algorithm is presented for the estimation of continuous phase modulation (CPM) sequences over the Gaussian channel with unknown carrier phase. It operates on the excess phase trellis like Viterbi algorithm, except that it is not an maximum-likelihood (ML) estimator. Its decision metric for survivor selection at each node is chosen

Carrier Phase and Clock Recovery for Continuous Phase Modulated Signals

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1987
This paper presents an analysis of a synchronization circuit to be used for carrier-phase and symbol-timing recovery in continuous phase modulation systems. M -ary modulation formats with arbitrary pulse shaping and rational modulation indexes are assumed. Circuit performance is expressed in terms of variances of phase and timing errors.

Carrier-Envelope Phase Stabilization

2013
After introducing some fundamental concepts and definitions for carrier-envelope stabilization schemes and frequency combs, measurement schemes for the carrier-envelope phase of oscillators and amplified systems are discussed. In particular, care is taken to point out typical problems in the experimental implementation of such schemes and to indicate ...
