Transport properties of diluted magnetic semiconductors: Dynamical mean field theory and Boltzmann theory

open access: yes, 2005
The transport properties of diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMS) are calculated using dynamical mean field theory (DMFT) and Boltzmann transport theory.

Carrier-envelope-phase-dependent dissociation of hydrogen

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2013
We studied dependence of dissociative ionization in H2 on carrier-envelope phase (CEP) of few-cycle (6fs) near-infrared (NIR) laser pulses. For low-energy channels, we present the first experimental observation of CEP dependence for total dissociation yield and the highest dwgree of asymmetry reported to date (40%).

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Dynamic Phase Measurement Based on Two-Step Spatial Carrier-Frequency Phase-Shifting Interferometry

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2018
A dynamic phase measurement method based on a two-step spatial carrier-frequency phase-shifting (TS-SCFPS) technique is proposed. First, by the subtraction operation between a pair spatial carrier-frequency interferograms with a certain phase shifts ...

Attitude Determination from Single-Antenna Carrier-Phase Measurements

open access: yes, 2002
A model of carrier phase measurement (as carried out by a satellite navigation receiver) is formulated based on electromagnetic theory. The model shows that the phase of the open-circuit voltage induced in the receiver antenna with respect to a local ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Performance characteristics for an array of two receiving systems with equal apertures and enhanced radio frequency carrier margin improvement [PDF]

open access: yes
Enhanced radio frequency carrier margin improvement for arrayed receiving systems for coherent reception of phase modulated signals with residual carrier provides a significant reduction in carrier loop phase noise and an increase in the signal to noise ...

Low overhead slipless carrier phase estimation scheme

open access: yesOptics Express, 2014
Two slipless schemes are compared with application to single carrier 30 Gbaud quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) system. An equivalent linewidth model considering the phase noise induced by both the laser linewidth and fiber nonlinearity is applied in the performance analysis. The simulation results show that it is possible to mitigate cycle slip (CS)

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

GNSS Multi-Frequency Multi-System Highly Robust Differential Positioning Based on an Autonomous Fault Detection and Exclusion Method

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
GNSS multi-frequency multi-system carrier phase differential positioning has become the main technology used in high-precision positioning. Until recently, the fault detection and exclusion (FDE) methods for multi-frequency multi-system carrier phase ...
