Chromaticity Space Uniformity and Gamut: Analysis and Visualization

open access: yesJournal of the Society for Information Display, EarlyView.
Even under the nominal assumption of perceptual uniformity in the CIE 1976 (u′, v′) chromaticity space, using its chromaticity gamut area instead of that of the CIE 1931 (x, y) chromaticity space is misguided, as neither space appropriately represents the perceptual chromaticity range.

Photonic Floquet–Bloch Oscillations Dominated by Floquet Gauge

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A new type of Bloch oscillations (namely, asymmetric Floquet–Bloch oscillations) whose evolution is biased along the evolution dimension is proposed and visually observed. The Floquet gauge can determine the light broadening to be biased toward the first or second half of the period. These findings reveal a new mechanism for wave packet revival and may

Low‐Frequency Raman Spectroscopy of Polymers

open access: yesMacromolecular Chemistry and Physics, EarlyView.
Recent advances have made low‐frequency Raman spectroscopy accessible to the wider scientific community. This review discusses how low‐frequency Raman is particularly useful for researchers investigating polymers because the technique can help determine both the local and long‐range structure of materials, their thermodynamic properties, and their ...
