Analysis of Cascade Vapour Refrigeration System with Various Refrigerants
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2019Abstract In this paper report the performance analysis of different refrigerants couples in cascade refrigeration system. Refrigerants such as R134a/R23, R410A/R23 and R404A/R170 have been successfully analyzed in the superheating and sub cooling range of 10 °C and 5 °C respectively. The variation in condenser temperature was from 30 to 50 °C in high

Performance Experiment of Natural Refrigerant Cascaded Refrigeration System
Advanced Materials Research, 2011In this paper, the performances of natural refrigerant R290/CO2 cascaded refrigeration system using R290 as high temperature cycle refrigerant and CO2 as low temperature cycle refrigerant were investigated experimentally. The test results show that both CO2 compressor and R290 compressor start up stably and present good running performance.

Refrigerant conversion of auto-refrigerating cascade (ARC) systems
International Journal of Refrigeration, 1997Abstract This paper describes converting Auto-Refrigerating Cascade (ARC) ultra-low temperature systems from a multicomponent zeotropic working fluid containing CFS to a CFC-free mixture. The differences between azeotropes, mixtures and blends with minimal glides used in conventional refrigeration systems and the steep glide (wide span) zeotropes ...
