Cascode monolithic switches in resonant circuit applications

The device features of this smart-power emitter-switching component are described both in terms of physical structure and electrical performance. Cascode Configurations for Switched Current Copiers

A generalized circuit representation for cascodes is introduced and different cascode circuits are compared with respect to their small-signal parameters as well as their associated dynamic output ranges.

Modeling of cascode modulated power amplifiers

Two models of the cascode modulated polar power amplifier (PA) are presented. The cascode modulated PA, that operates as a switch mode amplifier with class-E like output network, has a highly nonlinear transfer characteristic. The proposed empirical model is based on modeling of the peak drain current through the cascode connected transistors.
