Abstract Objective Neonatal developmental and epileptic encephalopathy with movement disorder and arthrogryposis (NDEEMA) represents the most severe end of the gain‐of‐function (GOF) SCN1A disorder spectrum. Sporadic cases of congenital arthrogryposis have also been reported in individuals with SCN2A‐, SCN3A‐, and SCN8A‐related developmental and ...

Exploring Semanticity for Content and Function Word Distinction in Catalan
In the realm of linguistics, the concept of “semanticity” was recently introduced as a novel measure designed to study linguistic networks. In a given text, semanticity is defined as the ratio of the potential number of meanings associated with a word to

ABSTRACT Papaya (Carica papaya L.) production and marketability are strongly constrained by postharvest diseases, with anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum spp. representing the most significant threat. Traditional control relies on synthetic fungicides, which, although effective, face challenges such as the development of pathogen resistance ...

Continued fractions and Catalan problems
We find a generating function expressed as a continued fraction that enumerates ordered trees by the number of vertices at different levels. Several Catalan problems are mapped to an ordered-tree problem and their generating functions also expressed as a

Properties of Generalized Bronze Fibonacci Sequences and Their Hyperbolic Quaternions
In this study, we establish some properties of Bronze Fibonacci and Bronze Lucas sequences. Then we find the relationships between the roots of the characteristic equation of these sequences with these sequences.

This paper gives another proof for the well-known fact, that the number of the well-formed orderings of \(n\) open and \(n\) closed parentheses is \({2n\choose n}/(n+1)\). The presented method works partitioning all the possible \({2n\choose n}\) orderings into classes of size \((n+1)\) such that every and each class contains exactly one well-formed ...

What's New? Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) is an asymptomatic precursor to multiple myeloma, sharing substantial genetic features with overt malignancy. Given evidence implicating autophagy in myeloma risk, this study examined whether genetic variations in autophagy‐related genes influence MGUS susceptibility.

Given a (bounded affine) permutation f f , we study the positroid Catalan number C f C_f defined to be the torus-equivariant Euler characteristic of the associated open positroid variety. We introduce a class of repetition-free permutations and show that the corresponding positroid Catalan numbers ...

Over a dozen cancers have been associated with excess body mass index, primarily in mid‐to‐late adulthood. Whether obesity‐related cancer risk differs across adulthood remains unclear. Using the Sensitive Periods Model and super‐landmarking approaches, this study found that higher BMI increased obesity‐related cancer risk across ages 30–65.

Sphingosine‐1‐Phosphate Receptor 1 Promotes Ovarian Cancer Tumorsphere Proliferation and Metastasis
In high‐grade serous ovarian cancer, malignant ascites frequently arise as ovarian cancer cells shed from the primary tumor and aggregate into tumorspheres, severely limiting treatment success. To date, little is known about the mechanisms governing tumorsphere endurance and metastasis within the ascites once formed.
