The Hypatia Catalog Database: A Web-Based Interface for Exploring Stellar Abundances [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
The Hypatia Catalog Database (www.hypatiacatalog.com) is the largest database of high resolution stellar abundances for stars within the solar neighborhood. It currently offers 72 elements and species within 5,986 stars, 347 of which host planets. The Hypatia Catalog Database features an interactive table and multiple plotting interfaces that allow ...

CANDELS MULTIWAVELENGTH CATALOGS: SOURCE IDENTIFICATION AND PHOTOMETRY IN THE CANDELS UKIDSS ULTRA-DEEP SURVEY FIELD [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We present the multiwavelength—ultraviolet to mid-infrared—catalog of the UKIRT Infrared Deep Sky Survey (UKIDSS) Ultra-Deep Survey field observed as part of the Cosmic Assembly Near-infrared Deep Extragalactic Legacy Survey (CANDELS).

Lick Northern Proper Motion Program. III. Lick NPM2 Catalog [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The Lick Northern Proper Motion (NPM) program, a two-epoch (1947-1988) photographic survey of the northern two-thirds of the sky (Dec. > -23 deg), has measured absolute proper motions, on an inertial system defined by distant galaxies, for 380,000 stars from 8

The Chandra Deep Field North Survey. XIII. 2 Ms Point-Source Catalogs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We present point-source catalogs for the ≈2 Ms exposure of the Chandra Deep Field North, currently the deepest X-ray observation of the universe in the 0.5–8.0 keV band. Five hundred and three (503) X-ray sources are detected over an ≈448 arcmin2 area in

Automatic Optimized Discovery, Creation and Processing of Astronomical Catalogs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
We present the design of a novel way of handling astronomical catalogs in Astro-WISE in order to achieve the scalability required for the data produced by large scale surveys. A high level of automation and abstraction is achieved in order to facilitate interoperation with visualization software for interactive exploration. At the same time flexibility

Mock Catalogs for UHECR Studies

open access: yes, 2011
We provide realistic mock-catalogs of cosmic rays above 40 EeV, for a pure proton composition, assuming their sources are a random subset of ordinary galaxies in a simulated, volume-limited survey, for various choices of source density: 10^-3.5 Mpc^-3 ...

Current status of the CATS database [PDF]

open access: yesBull.Spec.Astrophys.Obs.N.Caucasus 58:118-129,2005, 2007
We describe the current status of CATS, a publicly accessible database (web-server http://cats.sao.ru) allowing one to search in hundreds of catalogs of astronomical objects discovered all along the electromagnetic spectrum. Our emphasis is mainly laid on catalogs of radio continuum sources observed from 30 to 15000 MHz, secondly on catalogs of objects

Merging Catalogs in Alaska: Navigating Shifting Boundaries [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Presented at the Pacific Northwest Library Association Conference, August 2015The Joint Library Catalog, a network of 72 public, academic, special, and K-12 li-braries that serves 65 percent of Alaska’s population, has conducted three catalog mergers in ...

A catalog of photometric redshift and the distribution of broad galaxy morphologies [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
We created a catalog of photometric redshift of ~3,000,000 SDSS galaxies annotated by their broad morphology. The photometric redshift was optimized by testing and comparing several pattern recognition algorithms and variable selection strategies, trained and tested on a subset of the galaxies in the catalog that had spectra.
