Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Determining factors affecting regional poverty levels in Türkiye: a comparison of ordered discrete choice models

open access: yesJournal of Health, Population and Nutrition
Background This study aims to determine the factors affecting the poverty rate among the households in question by region, the western, central, and eastern regions underwent research separately. Methods This study uses the ordered discrete choice models:

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Multiple Correspondence Analysis is a Useful Tool to Visualize Complex Categorical Correlated Data

open access: yesInternational Journal of Population Data Science, 2017
Objectives We sought to identify the most expensive hospitalized individuals in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan in fiscal year 2012/13, and determine the primary cause of their high use of health services.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

UTILIZING MULTINOMIAL LOGISTIC REGRESSION FOR DETERMINING THE FACTORS INFLUENCING BLOOD PRESSURE

open access: yesScience Journal of University of Zakho
The aim of this study is to investigate the practical application of the Multinomial (many explanatory variables and many categories) Logistic Regression (MLR) model, which is a fundamental tool for analyzing not only for scale data but also for ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

DOUBLE PRINCIPAL COMPONENTS ANALYSIS FOR CATEGORICAL DATA AND ITS APPLICATION TO A MIGRATION STUDY EL DOBLE ANÁLISIS EN COMPONENTES PRINCIPALES PARA DATOS CATEGÓRICOS Y SU APLICACIÓN EN UN ESTUDIO DE MIGRACIÓN

open access: yesRevista Colombiana de Estadística, 2006
We adapted the double principal component analysis (DACP) (Bouroche 1975), developed for the analysis of three-dimensional quantitative data, to categorical data by mean of the Chi-squared distance between rows and columns profile of a contingency table ...
