A Royal Road to Quantum Theory (or Thereabouts), Extended Abstract [PDF]
A representation of finite-dimensional probabilistic models in terms of formally real Jordan algebras is obtained, in a strikingly easy way, from simple assumptions. This provides a framework in which real, complex and quaternionic quantum mechanics can

Premonoidal categories as categories with algebraic structure
We develop the study of premonoidal categories. Specifically, we reconcile premonoidal categories with the usual study of categories with algebraic structure by adding a little extra structure. We further give a notion of closedness for a premonoidal category with such extra structure, and show that every premonoidal category fully embeds into a closed

Equivalences of additive categories [PDF]
In the first part of the thesis, after an introduction of the concept of recollement and TTF triple in a triangulated category, we consider recollements of derived categories of differential graded algebras induced by self-orthogonal compact objects ...

We report the solid‐state ball milling, a traditional, reliable, mass‐productive material processing, to prepare the air‐stable and dual‐phase GeSe2‐x nanoparticles with extended photodetection feasibility toward optical‐wavelength regions. We further display photonic multi‐valued logic (MVL) circuit through the employment of a hybrid PMMA/GeSe2‐x ...

Gorenstein-Projective Modules over Upper Triangular Matrix Artin Algebras
Gorenstein-projective module is an important research topic in relative homological algebra, representation theory of algebras, triangulated categories, and algebraic geometry (especially in singularity theory).

The category of implicative algebras and realizability [PDF]
AbstractIn this paper, we continue with the algebraic study of Krivine’s realizability, completing and generalizing some of the authors’ previous constructions by introducing two categories with objects the abstract Krivine structures and the implicative algebras, respectively.

Monoids with tests and the algebra of possibly non-halting programs [PDF]
We study the algebraic theory of computable functions, which can be viewed as arising from possibly non-halting computer programs or algorithms, acting on some state space, equipped with operations of composition, if-then-else and while-do defined in ...

Symmetry‐Imposed Selection Rules for Excitations of Nontrivial Plasmonic Topologies
A unified group‐theory selection rule governs the excitation of vectorial nearfield topologies across three plasmonic spin states. Derived from first principles, it predicts spin–orbit vortex splitting and multidimensional nested vortices, confirmed by phase‐resolved in situ measurements.
