Cationic polymerization of aldehydes
Die Makromolekulare Chemie, 1974AbstractCationic polymerizations of formaldehyde, higher aliphatic aldehydes and haloaldehydes are discussed. The polymerization is initiated by Lewis and Brønsted acids but is dominated by the fact that in almost all cases the polymers precipitate and crystallize from the solution.

Cationic polymerization of norbornadiene
Journal of Polymer Science Part A: Polymer Chemistry, 2003AbstractThe polymerization of norbornadiene (NBD) initiated by the 2‐chloro‐2,4,4‐trimethylpentane/titanium tetrachloride system was investigated. Efforts were made to develop conditions for the living polymerization of NBD by the use of proton trap and electron donor in the −35 to −60 °C range however this objective was only partially attained.

Cocatalysis in Cationic Polymerization
Journal of Macromolecular Science: Part A - Chemistry, 1973Abstract Problems concerned with the principles of cocatalysis and coinitiation as a part of cationic polymerization are discussed. When the established concept of different reactive particles, i.e., contact and separated ion-pairs or free ions, is applied to cationic initiation and propagation centers, then common features for one general process can ...

Photoinitiated Cationic Polymerization
1989Photoinitiated cationic polymerization has not as yet achieved the commercial significance of radical polymerization in important photopolymerization processes, including UV curing and photoimaging. Several reasons for this may be advanced, including: (1) the development of photoinitiators for cationic polymerization was preceded by substantial ...

Photoinitiated Cationic Polymerization
1999This paper describes the latest developments in the photoinitiating systems, based on onium salts, for cationic polymerization. The goal is, furthermore, to show differences as well as parallels between systems for different modes of photoinitiation.
