Novel Carbazole Skeleton-Based Photoinitiators for LED Polymerization and LED Projector 3D Printing
Radical chemistry is a very convenient way to produce polymer materials. Here, an application of a particular photoinduced radical chemistry is illustrated. Seven new carbazole derivatives Cd1–Cd7 are incorporated and proposed as high performance near-UV

Cationic polymerization of styrene using iron-containing ionic liquid catalysts in an aqueous dispersed medium [PDF]
This work aims to study the cationic miniemulsion polymerization of styrene catalyzed by iron-containing imidazolium-based ionic liquids. The polystyrenes had very high number-average molar mass around 1300 kg mol-1 at 85 °C, molar-mass dispersity close ...

Cationic Polymerization of β-Methylstyrenes
EtAlCl2/SnCl4 is an initiating system for the living cationic polymerization of various p-substituted styrenes in the presence of added bases, but neither cis- nor trans-β-methylstyrene (βMeSt) can be polymerized by it. In contrast, after adding p-methylstyrene, the random copolymerization of trans-βMeSt proceeded, producing copolymers with up to 30 ...

CYCLIC OLIGOMERS IN THE CATIONIC POLYMERIZATION OF HETEROCYCLES [PDF]
Abstract The cationic polymerization of heterocyclic monomers may lead to polymers containing substantial, yet variable amounts of cyclic oligomers. This review gives a survey of the systems where such oligomers have been found. Oligomer formation is generally observed in the polymerization of oxiranes and thiiranes.

A Cationic Polymerization of Phenylcyclopropane
