Aims Ginisortamab, a first‐in‐class human monoclonal antibody for the treatment of advanced solid tumours, binds to gremlin‐1 and restores bone morphogenetic protein signalling. We used pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modelling to characterize the relationship between ginisortamab dose and serum gremlin‐1 binding, using model‐based simulations ...

L-Canavanine potentiates the cytotoxicity of doxorubicin and cisplatin in arginine deprived human cancer cells [PDF]
The non-protein amino acid L-canavanine (L-CAV), an antimetabolite of L-arginine (L-ARG), can alter the 3D conformation of proteins when incorporated into a protein instead of L-ARG. L-CAV inhibits the proliferation of some tumour cells.

CHICKEN ANAEMIA VIRUS IMPAIRS NITRIC OXIDE PRODUCTION IN HD11 CHICKEN MACROPHAGES
Immunosuppressive viruses cause substantial economic losses to the poultry industry. Chicken anaemia virus (CAV) causes severe disease in young chickens, whereas subclinical infection in older birds causes immunosuppression.

Adenovirus vectors have been extensively studied through the manipulation of viral genome. However, little attention is being paid to their producer cell-lines; cells are selected according to virus yields, neglecting the expression profile of transcomplementing gene products underlying cell performance.

Abstract Implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) reliably prevent death due to life‐threatening arrhythmias; this may become less relevant in people with more severe heart failure who are reaching the end of life (EOL). This review aimed to explore the ICD deactivation process and identify ethical issues, especially around the initiation of ...
