Research on cavitation phenomena in pilot stage of jet pipe servo-valve with a rectangular nozzle based on large-eddy simulations

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
The flow field in the pilot stage of a jet pipe servo-valve significantly affects the performance of the valve. Cavitation with pressure oscillations occur in the pilot stage and lead to the appearance of high-frequency noise and vibration.

Flow Analysis in Pathological Microvascular Models by Ultrasound Localization Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study presents a new platform combining ultrasound localization microscopy with biomimetic gelatin phantoms to analyze flow dynamics in small vessels with narrowing or obstructions. Using microbubble tracking, the method enables high‐resolution velocity mapping in 100–500 µm channels, revealing flow changes in pathological microvascular conditions

Utilization of Schnerr-Sauer Cavitation Model for Simulation of Cavitation Inception and Super Cavitation

open access: yes, 2021
In this study, Reynolds-Stress-Navier-Stokes framework is utilized to investigate the flow inside diesel injector nozzle. The flow is assumed to be multiphase as formation of vapor by pressure drop is visualized. For pressure and velocity linkage, coupled algorithm is used.

Ultrashort‐Pulsed Laser Diffusion Enhancement in Liquids for Cold Extraction of Coffee in an Analytically Validated Low‐Fluence Regime

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
In this article, pulsed laser diffusion enhancement in liquids as an analytically validated laser extraction in liquids method of coffee suspensions in a defined low fluence window is presented. The results confirm the generation of a unique aroma profile and reduced acidity, which is neither attributed to changes in the specific surface area nor ...
