Acoustic cavitation and bubble dynamics
Acoustic cavitation is investigated experimentally and theoretically starting with a single bubble in an acoustic field. The single bubble is trapped in an acoustic resonator and observed by high-speed imaging and acoustic measurements following its transient dynamics to a possible steady state after generation by laser light.

ABSTRACT This study systematically investigates the cavitation characteristics of a novel sleeve‐shaft counterrotating (SSCR) hydrodynamic cavitation reactor using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Based on the RANS framework combined with the SST k–ω turbulence model and the Zwart–Gerber–Belamri cavitation model, the temporal–spatial evolution of ...

Numerical Calculation on Cavitation Pressure Pulsation in Centrifugal Pump
In order to study the internal flow in centrifugal pump when cavitation occurs, numerical calculation of the unsteady flow field in the WP7 automobile centrifugal pump is conducted based on the Navier-Stokes equations with the RNG k – ε turbulence model ...

Leveraging bacterial hypoxia targeting, KBTO NPs accumulate at the tumor site. Under the ultrasound irradiation, KBTO NPs produce reactive oxygen species to kill tumor cells and eliminate bacteria, preventing overgrowth and inflammation. The lysed bacteria act as antigens to trigger antitumor immunity and further enhanced by the immune checkpoint ...

Acoustic‐driven surface cleaning with millimeter‐sized bubbles at translational resonance
Time‐lapse visualization comparing bubble trajectories. The top panel (0 Hz) shows a bubble's linear path under no acoustic forcing, while the bottom panel (50 Hz) demonstrates the oscillatory motion induced by acoustic waves at a resonance mode. This mechanism holds promising potential for applications such as surface cleaning.

Acoustic cavitation, bubble dynamics and sonoluminescence
Basic facts on the dynamics of bubbles in water are presented. Measurements on the free and forced radial oscillations of single spherical bubbles and their acoustic (shock waves) and optic (luminescence) emissions are given in photographic series and diagrams.
