Shape effect of cavity flameholder on mixing zone of hydrogen jet at supersonic flow

International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 2018
Cavity flameholder is known as an efficient technique for providing the ignition zone. In this research, computational fluid dynamic is applied to study the influence of the various shapes of cavity as flameholder on the mixing efficiency inside the ...

Dual-Band Microwave Sensor Based on Planar Rectangular Cavity Loaded With Pairs of Improved Resonator for Differential Sensing Applications

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2021
A dual-band sensor based on a planar rectangular cavity loaded with pairs of improved planar resonator is used to measure the permittivity difference of liquids with a small volume ( $2.5~\mu \text{l}$ ).

Cavity-mediated thermal control of metal-to-insulator transition in 1T-TaS_2

Nature, 2022
Cavity-mediated thermal control of metal-to-insulator transition is achieved by embedding the charge density wave material 1T-TaS_2 into cryogenic tunable terahertz cavities.

Cavity-enhanced spectroscopy in fiber cavities

Optics Letters, 2004
We discuss the relative merits of passive and active fiber cavities for ring-down. Ring-down times of approximately 2 micros were recently demonstrated in passive cavities, but operation is restricted to weak evanescent wave interaction. We report on active cavities with amplifiers used for loss compensation, permitting the use of open-path micro-optic

Perigraft cavity

Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, 1981
A case is reported of an unusual sinographic appearance and negative microbial cultures, indicating a long-term failure of incorporation of a vascular graft by surrounding connective tissue. Possible pathogenic mechanisms include ruptured lymphatic channels or a low-grade immunologic rejection process.

Cavity Solitons

2013
In this chapter we describe the topic of cavity solitons in the framework of the general area of optical pattern formation. We illustrate how one can generate and control them; we compare them with standard spatial solitons and emphasize the special properties of their motion under the action of phase or amplitude gradients in the driving field.

Cavity optomechanics and cavity optoelectromechanics

71st Device Research Conference, 2013
Cavity optomechanics offers unparalleled sensitivity allowing the control of mechanical resonators at quantum level. The dynamic cavity backaction can be utilized to cool a mechanical resonator to its ground state or amplify its motion to limit-cycle oscillations.

Placental cavities

Obstetrics & Gynecology, 1997
To study placental cavities by gross and microscopic examination and ultrasonography and their frequency with various epidemiologic factors and intervillous thrombosis. After formalin fixation, interval sections of 567 placentas were prepared to search for cavities and intervillous thrombosis.

Temporal Cavity Solitons in an Active Cavity

OSA Nonlinear Optics 2021, 2021
We demonstrate the existence of temporal solitons in a laser pumped below its oscillation threshold. Through bifurcation analysis and experimental measurements, we show how the gain saturation impacts this new localized structure.
