Expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and CD-31 in psoriasis
Background: Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory hyperproliferative skin disease. Increasing attention has been directed toward the role of skin microcirculation in its pathogenesis, with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) implicated in ...

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Background Glycoprotein 2 (GP2) was discovered as the major autoantigen of Crohn’s disease (CD)-specific pancreatic autoantibodies (PAB). We investigated anti-GP2 IgA and IgG antibodies as novel serological parameters in CD and assessed their association

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Functional analysis of CAX2-like transporters isolated from two ecotypes of Sedum alfredii
Two genes encoding CAX2-like proteins were isolated from a Zn/Cd hyperaccumulating ecotype (HE) and nonhyperaccumulating ecotype (NHE) of Sedum alfredii Hance, and they were named SaCAX2h and SaCAX2n, respectively.

The genomic profiling and MAMLD1 expression in human and canines with Cushing’s disease
Background Cushing’s disease (CD) is defined as hypercortisolemia caused by adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)-secreting pituitary adenomas (corticotroph PA) that afflicts humans and dogs.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.
