A role of impaired neonatal T cell activation upon late CMV detection

open access: yesИнфекция и иммунитет, 2019
Objective: examine signs of impaired neonatal T cell activation upon late cytomegalovirus (CMV) DNA detection in the blood and urine.Materials and methods. 147 neonates with non-specific clinical symptoms were enrolled to the study.

CDK4/6 Inhibition Induces CD8+ T Cell Antitumor Immunity via MIF‐Induced Functional Orchestration of Tumor‐Associated Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.

CD28 Aptamers as Powerful Immune Response Modulators

open access: yesMolecular Therapy: Nucleic Acids, 2013
CD28 is one of the main costimulatory receptors responsible for the proper activation of T lymphocytes. We have isolated two aptamers that bind to the CD28 receptor.

Aberrant SUMOylation Restricts the Targetable Cancer Immunopeptidome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pharmacological SUMOylation inhibition (SUMOi) counteracts tumor immune evasion by unmasking an immunogenic HLA‐I peptide and neoepitope repertoire. By restoring HLA‐I ligand availability through increased antigen processing and presentation, enhanced proteasomal cleavage, and modulated TAP1 peptide affinity, SUMOi boosts tumor immunogenicity ...

Role of CD28+ PD-1+ Tc cells in immune response and prognosis prediction in hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
BackgroundCD28+PD-1+ Tc cells (CD8+ T cells) constitute a dysfunctional subset of T cell; however, the mechanisms underlying their dysfunction and their significance in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remain unclear.

Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)alpha expression in T cells mediates gender differences in development of T cell-mediated autoimmunity. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)alpha is a nuclear receptor that mediates gender differences in lipid metabolism. PPARalpha also functions to control inflammatory responses by repressing the activity of nuclear factor kappaB (NF-kappaB ...

ETV1 Drives CD4+ T Cell‐Mediated Intestinal Inflammation in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Through Amino Acid Transporter Slc7a5

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies the transcription factor ETV1 as a key driver of CD4⁺ T cell‐mediated intestinal inflammation in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). ETV1 promotes CD4⁺ T cell activation, proliferation, and Th17 differentiation by activating the amino acid transporter SLC7A5, fueling metabolic reprogramming.

Notch2 Directs aTreg Cell Fate toward Immunoregulation or Inflammatory Pyroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration showing that the Notch2 intracellular domain (NICD2) facilitates pyroptosis resistance in activated Tregs through the RREB1/Foxo1 signaling pathway. In addition, Notch2‐mediated pyroptosis resistance in activated Tregs promotes immunoregulatory capacity, thereby attenuating Th2‐driven inflammatory responses in allergic rhinitis ...

CD28-induced costimulation of T helper type 2 cells mediated by induction of responsiveness to interleukin 4. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Type 1 and type 2 cloned T helper (Th) cells are believed to require different antigen-presenting cell (APC)-derived costimuli for proliferation. In the case of Th1-cloned T cells, CD28 signaling costimulates production of autocrine interleukin 2 (IL-2).
