Interferon-β1a reduces plasma CD31+ endothelial microparticles (CD31+EMP) in multiple sclerosis
Background A correlation between plasma CD31+ endothelial microparticles (CD31+EMP) levels and clinical, as well as brain MRI activity, in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients has been previously reported.

Compensatory Mitophagy via NEDD4/HIF-1α/BNIP3 Pathway Restrains EndMT and Renal Allograft Interstitial Fibrosis Induced by TNFα. [PDF]
The role of TNFα in the process of renal allograft interstitial fibrosis is complex and multifaceted. As it can promote renal allograft interstitial fibrosis by inducing mitochondrial dysfunction and EndMT, and also mediating compensatory mitophagy through the NEDD4–HIF‐1α–BNIP3 pathway, which clears damaged mitochondria and inhibits EndMT, thereby ...

Expression of CD31 in Mycosis Fungoides [PDF]
Mycosis fungoides (MF) is the most common primary cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) characterized by malignant proliferation of mature T lymphocytes and primary skin involvement. Recent reports suggest that angiogenesis may play a role in the growth and spread of this malignancy.

Placental markers of miscarriage
Successful implantation involves a high degree of development of spiral arteries, combined with high proliferative activity, which ensures the formation of a healthy placenta, full uterine-placental circulation, and the birth of a healthy child.

CD31 Immunoreactivity in Carcinomas and Mesotheliomas [PDF]
CD31 is a specific and sensitive marker of endothelial differentiation. Previous reports have described its immunoreactivity in large series of soft tissue neoplasms, as well as its comparison with other available and commonly used endothelial markers. CD31 reactivity in carcinomas or mesotheliomas has been incompletely addressed, however.

CD31 staining in epithelioid sarcoma [PDF]
We report an unusual case of epithelioid sarcoma. The tumour occurred in the finger of a 27-year-old female. The clinical history, histology and the electron microscopy of the lesion were typical for epithelioid sarcoma. However, immunohistochemical analysis showed strong membranous CD31 staining, a finding hitherto not described.
