Evidence that CD31, CD49b, and CD62L are immunodominant minor histocompatibility antigens in HLA identical sibling bone marrow transplants.

Blood, 1998
Despite complete matching of siblings for the HLA loci, after bone marrow transplantation (BMT), approximately 20% develop graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). This is presumably due to incompatibility of minor histocompatibility antigens (mHa).

[Expression of the OKM5 antigen (CD36) in normal keratinocytes and inflamed mucosa].

open access: closedImmunitat und Infektion, 1994
In 62 oral mucosa biopsies of different localization and diagnoses, immunohistochemically investigated with the APAAP technique, the OKM5 expression on keratinocytes was connected with the epithelial keratinization. In parakeratotic epithelia, an obvious CD36 upregulation was detectable.

CITRULLINATED AND MALONDIALDEHYDE-ACETALDEHYDE MODIFIED FIBRINOGEN ACTIVATES MACROPHAGES AND PROMOTES PROFIBROTIC RESPONSES IN HUMAN LUNG FIBROBLASTS.

American Journal of Physiology - Lung cellular and Molecular Physiology
The objective of this study was to assess fibrinogen (FIB) co-modified with citrulline (CIT) and/or malondialdehyde-acetaldehyde (MAA) initiates macrophage-fibroblast interactions leading to extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition that characterizes ...

Different expression of CD36 antigen molecule on the surface of megakaryocyte lineage leukemias and megakaryocyte leukemia cell lines MEG-01 and HEL.

open access: closedLeukemia, 1990
Peripheral blood leukemic cells from four patients with peroxidase negative acute leukemia, which expressed neither myeloid nor lymphoid cell surface antigens, were analyzed by using monoclonal antibodies (MoAb) capable of recognizing megakaryocyte-platelet-related antigens. Leukemic cells from one case reacted with 5F1 MoAb, whereas cells from all the

CD36 or alphavbeta3 and alphavbeta5 integrins are not essential for MHC class I cross-presentation of cell-associated antigen by CD8 alpha+ murine dendritic cells.

Journal of immunology (Baltimore, Md. : 1950), 2002
Cross-presentation of cell-associated Ag is thought to involve receptor-mediated uptake of apoptotic cells by dendritic cells (DC), and studies with human DC strongly implicate the endocytic receptor CD36 and the integrins alpha(v)beta(3) and/or alpha(v)beta(5) in this process.
