On the tension between growth rate and CMB data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We analyze the claimed tension between redshift space distorsions measurements of $f(z)\sigma_8(z)$ and the predictions of standard $\Lambda$CDM (Planck 2015 and 2018) cosmology. We consider a dataset consisting of 17 data points extending up to redshift

Triple Matrix Confinement‐Induced Ultrabright Afterglow From Carbon Dots With Multivariate Responsive Afterglow Colors for Advanced Dynamic Information Encryption

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A novel carbon dots material (BUL‐CDs) with an initial afterglow brightness (406 cd m−2) far exceeding that of other afterglow luminescent materials was developed. Furthermore, the BUL‐CDs exhibited time‐dependent afterglow colors, excitation‐dependent afterglow colors, and thermochromic afterglow in response to triplet variables.

SOME ASPECTS OF NEW CDM MODELS AND CDM DETECTION METHODS [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2009
We briefly review some recent Cold Dark Matter (CDM) models. Our main focus are charge symmetric models of WIMPs which are not the standard SUSY LSP's (Lightest Supersymmetric Partners). We indicate which experiments are most sensitive to certain aspects of the models.

Functional and Structural Evidence of Neurofluid Circuit Aberrations in Huntington Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Disrupted neurofluid regulation may contribute to neurodegeneration in Huntington disease (HD). Because neurofluid pathways influence waste clearance, inflammation, and the distribution of central nervous system (CNS)–delivered therapeutics, understanding their dysfunction is increasingly important as targeted treatments emerge.

Large-scale structure in superfluid Chaplygin gas cosmology

open access: yes, 2014
We investigate the growth of large-scale structure in the superfluid Chaplygin gas (SCG) model. Both linear and non-linear growth, such as $\sigma_8$ and the skewness $S_3$, are discussed. We find the growth factor of SCG reduces to the EdS case at early

Temporal Trends in and Associations With Nonsteroidal Anti‐inflammatory Drug Prescription in Adult and Pediatric Patients With Inflammatory Bowel Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Recent inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) treatment guidelines have recommended against nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drug (NSAID) use despite prevalent musculoskeletal symptoms and opioid overuse in this population. Given the discordance between changing national guidelines and potential clinical utility, we sought to assess national temporal

Feasibility of Applying Clean Development Mechanism and GHGs Emission Reductions in the Gold Mining Industry: A Case of Thailand

open access: yesEnvironmental and Climate Technologies, 2015
There is presently overwhelming scientific consensus that global climate change is indeed occurring, and that human activities are the primary driver. An increasingly resource and carbon constrained world will continue to pose formidable challenges to ...

New cosmological constraints with extended-Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey DR14 quasar sample

open access: yes, 2017
We update the constraints on the cosmological parameters by adopting the Planck data released in 2015 and Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO) measurements including the new DR14 quasar sample measurement at redshift $z=1.52$, and we conclude that the based

Formation of small-scale structure in SUSY CDM [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The lightest supersymmetric particle, most likely the lightest neutralino, is one of the most prominent particle candidates for cold dark matter (CDM).

Bioprinting of Microtissues Within Mechanically Tunable Support Baths to Engineer Anisotropic Musculoskeletal Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel 4D bioprinting platform for engineering biomimetic musculoskeletal grafts. By tuning the mechanical properties of support baths, we enhance tissue fusion, collagen alignment, and cell differentiation. Using this strategy, we successfully fabricate scaled‐up, anisotropic tissues such as meniscus, articular cartilage, and ...
