Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Comparison of RNA extraction methods in order to optimize total RNA extraction from borage tissues under cadmium stress [PDF]

open access: yesتنش های محیطی در علوم زراعی
IntroductionTranscriptomics studies speed up the basic and applied research on the identification of genes involved in the biosynthesis of medicinally significant primary and secondary metabolites as well as plant responses to biotic and abiotic stresses.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Construction of a T7 Human Lung Cancer cDNA Library

open access: yesChinese Journal of Lung Cancer, 2008
Background and objective Currently, only a limited numbers of tumor markers for non small lung cancer (NSCLC) diagnosis, new biomarker, such as serum autoantibody may improve the early detection of lung cancer.

Characterization, cloning and immunogenicity of antigens released by transforming cercariae of Schistosoma mansoni [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
A schistosome infection is initiated when the parasite penetrates the skin of a susceptible host. Relatively large quantities of protein are released by transforming cercariae compared to later larval stages.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Molecular Characterization of a cDNA Encoding of an Anionic Cysteine-Free Antimicrobial Peptide From the Iranian Scorpion Odontobuthus Doriae Venom Glands

open access: yesPharmaceutical and Biomedical Research, 2022
Background: The venom peptides from the scorpion fauna of Iran have been poorly characterized so far. Objectives: In this study, we identified a cDNA encoding of an anionic cysteine-free antimicrobial peptide from the Iranian yellow scorpion odontobuthus

CLONING OF THE 1.4-kb mRNA SPECIES OF HUMAN COMPLEMENT FACTOR H REVEALS A NOVEL MEMBER OF THE SHORT CONSENSUS REPEAT FAMILY RELATED TO THE CARBOXY TERMINAL OF THE CLASSICAL 150-kDa MOLECULE [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
Three factor H mRNA species of 4.3 kb, 1.8 kb, and 1.4 kb are constitutively expressed in human liver. Having previously characterized full-length cDNA clones derived from the 4.3-kb and 1.8-kb factor mRNA, we report here the isolation and eucaryotic ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.
