Colloidal n-Doped CdSe and CdSe/ZnS Nanoplatelets

The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2021
Colloidal semiconductor nanoplatelets (NPLs) are chemical versions of well-studied quantum wells (QWs). For QWs, gating and carrier doping are standard tools to manipulate their optical, electric, or magnetic properties. It would be highly desirable to use pure chemical methods to dope extra charge carriers into free-standing colloidal NPLs to achieve ...

CdSe and CdSe/CdS Nanorod Solids

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2004
We demonstrate the self-organization of CdSe nanorods into nematic, smectic, and crystalline solids. Layered colloidal crystals of CdSe nanorods grow by slow destabilization of a nanocrystal solution upon allowing the diffusion of a nonsolvent into the colloidal solution of nanocrystals.

Cytotoxicity of Colloidal CdSe and CdSe/ZnS Nanoparticles

Nano Letters, 2004
Cytotoxicity of CdSe and CdSe/ZnS nanoparticles has been investigated for different surface modifications such as coating with mercaptopropionic acid, silanization, and polymer coating. For all cases, quantitative values for the onset of cytotoxic effects in serum-free culture media are given. These values are correlated with microscope images in which

Nonlayered CdSe Flakes Homojunctions

Advanced Functional Materials, 2020
Abstract2D homojunctions have stimulated extensive attention because of their perfect thermal and lattice matches, as well as their tunable band structures in 2D morphology, which provide fascinating opportunities for novel electronics and optoelectronics.

Chiral 3D CdSe Nanotetrapods

Inorganic Chemistry, 2020
Three-dimensional (3D) nanomaterials have been intensively investigated because of their unique properties and wide range of potential applications; however, the ligand-induced chirality in 3D semiconductor nanocrystals has been scarcely studied. In this paper, we report the synthesis of hydrophobic 3D CdSe nanotetrapods (Tps) with a high degree of ...

Structural properties of CdSe nanocrystals in CdSe/Se multilayer

Experimental and Theoretical NANOTECHNOLOGY, 2021
CdSe/Se multilayer thin films were prepared using sequential thermal evaporation technique by varying the thickness of selenium sublayers. Identifying the prominent peaks observed in the XRD spectra of the top layer CdSe which corresponds to the (100) plane with wurtzite structure, the average size of the crystallites was calculated for the CdSe ...
