Qualidade de mudas de quatro espécies florestais produzidas em diferentes tubetes [PDF]

open access: yesFloresta e Ambiente, 2023

open access: yesEcosistemas y Recursos Agropecuarios, 2018

open access: yesLa Calera, 2021
En Nicaragua no existen estudios recientes sobre descripciones anatómicas de las características y propiedades que poseen las maderas. El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar las características macroscópicas, organolépticas y dos propiedades físicas ...

Molecular phylogenetic analysis sheds light on the diversity and evolutionary history of the Neotropical and African Triplophyllum (Tectariaceae)

open access: yesJournal of Systematics and Evolution, EarlyView.
We used a molecular approach to resolve the evolutionary lineages of Neotropical Triplophyllum, uncovering that current species circumscriptions are hindered by high morphological homoplasy in indument characters. Our results support the recognition of three new species and provide a necessary neotypification for T.

De novo transcriptome sequencing and SSR markers development for Cedrela balansae C.DC., a native tree species of northwest Argentina.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
The endangered Cedrela balansae C.DC. (Meliaceae) is a high-value timber species with great potential for forest plantations that inhabits the tropical forests in Northwestern Argentina.Research on this species is scarce because of the limited genetic ...

Topography alters stand structure, carbon stocks and understorey species composition of Cedrela odorata plantation, in a semi-deciduous forest zone, Ghana

open access: yesTrees, Forests and People, 2022
Pure plantations established across different topographic positions may respond differently and exhibit varied stand characteristics. However, there is limited information on variability of pure plantation stand attributes along topographic gradients ...

Valorization of Yacon (Smallanthus sonchifolius) peel for peroxidase production and its immobilization on alginate beads for 2,4‐dichlorophenol bioconversion

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Volume 104, Issue 8, Page 3984-3995, August 2026.
Sodium alginate was modified with EDC/NHS for the immobilization of Yacon peel peroxidase, resulting in a novel biocatalyst for the oxidation of 2,4‐dichlorophenol. Abstract Yacon (Smallanthus sonchifolius) roots are emerging as an alternative source of peroxidase. This study aimed to extract, immobilize, and characterize the peroxidase from Yacon peel,

Harnessing Genomic Information for Identifying the Geographic Origin of Five North American Tree Species in Trade

open access: yesEvolutionary Applications, Volume 19, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Genomic tools for traceability of wood products offer a powerful tool to support sustainable forestry, fight illegal logging, and improve conservation efforts. Traditional identification methods (e.g., wood anatomy, spectroscopy) are limited in resolution or scope, but genomic approaches can infer both species identity and geographic origin ...

From plant to fabric: Environmental opportunities associated with annatto dye for sustainable development in the textile industry

open access: yesColoration Technology, Volume 142, Issue 3, Page 333-353, June 2026.
Abstract Natural dyes are compounds that occur naturally in several organisms and are classified based on chemical structure and application method. The literature cites several natural dyes used in industrial transformation processes. Annatto dye is used in the food industry, and its biological pigment is extracted from the annatto seed. However, this
