Review and Future Perspectives on Lithium Battery Fire Safety: Focusing on Design of Organic Components

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the design scheme of organic components to improve the fire safety of lithium batteries in recent 5 years. Besides the development of electrolyte tends to be safer and more intelligent, the flame retardancy of separators which consist of organic polymer can also be improved by physical or chemical modification.

Solid State Structures of Three Zinc(II) Coordination Polymers with 3‐(1H‐Imidazol‐1‐yl)propanoate Linkers Prepared in Water

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Accepted Article.
Coordination polymers of zinc(II) with three readily accessible 3‐(1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)propanoate ligands are prepared by combining aqueous solutions of the ligands and zinc(II) salts, resulting in a precipitation of the respective coordination polymers.

Amphiphilic Fluoro‐Functionalized Cellulosic Materials: Synthesis, Characterization, and Organic Dye Adsorption Properties

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
New amphiphilic fluoro‐functionalized cellulosic materials are being yielded through nucleophilic aromatic substitution. Covalent attachment of fluorinated moiety into biopolymers is being assured with full characterization. Fluoro‐functionalized materials are being incorporated in alginate beads to remove organic pollutants from wastewater ...

Assessment of Electrophoretic Mobility Determination in Nanoparticle Analysis: Two Parallel Techniques Converging in a Distinctive Parameter

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A critical comparison of the main parameters playing a role in measurement of electrophoretic mobility of plastic nanoparticles (NPs) by CE and laser Doppler velocimetry (LDV) techniques in NP suspensions is herein presented, accompanied by a discussion about potential impact on different mobility values observed.

Electrohydrodynamic Vortex Imaging: A New Tool for Understanding Mass Transfer in Surface‐Based Biosensors

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Surface‐based biosensor performance is generally limited by mass transfer, especially when detecting low‐concentrated species. To address this, dielectrophoresis (DEP) and alternating current electroosmosis (ACEO) can be combined to enhance mass transfer, increasing the target concentration near the sensor.
