Study of radiation effects on mammalian cells in vitro [PDF]
Radiation effect on single cells and cell populations of Chinese hamster lung tissue is studied in vitro. The rate and position as the cell progresses through the generation cycle shows division delay, changes in some biochemical processes in the cell ...

This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

Single-cell transcriptomes reveal the mechanism for a breast cancer prognostic gene panel. [PDF]
The clinical benefits of the MammaPrint® signature for breast cancer is well documented; however, how these genes are related to cell cycle perturbation have not been well determined.

This study investigates gene expression differences between two major pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) subtypes, B‐cell precursor ALL, and T‐cell ALL, using a data‐driven approach consisting of biostatistics and machine learning methods. Following analysis of a discovery dataset, we find a set of 14 expression markers differentiating the ...

Maspin/SerpinB5 is a cytoskeleton-binding protein that regulates epithelial cell shape
Maspin/SerpinB5 is an abundant and pleiotropic protein mostly expressed by epithelia. Initially described as a tumor suppressor, it has been reported as a regulator of cell adhesion, migration, and invasion.

mir‐196a promotes Esophagus Adenocarcinoma aggressiveness. On one hand, mir‐196a targets the valosin‐containing protein (VCP) mRNA, causing the accumulation of c‐MYC protein that leads to high amounts of TERT. On the other hand, mir‐196a targets the inhibitor of NFκB (NFKBIA).

Cycle life test and failure model of nickel-hydrogen cells [PDF]
Six ampere hour individual pressure vessel nickel hydrogen cells were charge/discharge cycled to failure. Failure as used here is defined to occur when the end of discharge voltage degraded to 0.9 volts.
