Eczematous lesions in atopic dermatitis (AD) are characterized by a typical cellular influx in skin comprising T lymphocytes, eosinophils, macrophages, and dendritic cells (DC). Those cells are in close contact with the resident cells in skin, such as keratinocytes, mast cells, endothelial cells and fibroblasts.
