European Journal of Cancer (1965), 1970Abstract In a patient with generalized neuroblastoma labeling index and median grain-count determinations on tumor cells in mitosis and interphase were performed autoradiographically after pulse-labeling with tritiated thymidine. The tumor-cell samples were removed from different parts of a superficially growing metastasis. The mitotic index was 0·57%

Medical Hypotheses, 2004The article provides a mathematical description based on the theory of differential equations, for the proliferation of malignant cells (cancer). A model is developed which enables us to describe and predict the dynamics of cell proliferation much better than by using ordinary curve fitting procedures.

Microscopy Research and Technique, 2003AbstractPeroxisome proliferators cause increases in liver mass in rodents, linked to changes in cell proliferation and cell death of hepatocytes. These effects are reversible upon cessation of treatment. The underlying mechanism of the response in rodent liver is complex, but clearly dependent on activation of the nuclear receptor PPARα.
