The stable, center-stable, center, center-unstable, unstable manifolds

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1967
Our purpose is to give a proof of the existence and smoothness of the invariant manifolds in the title for a system of ordinary differential equations defined in a neighborhood of a critical point, periodic orbit, or periodic surface.

Multi‐omics and low‐input proteomics profiling reveals dynamic regulation driving pluripotency initiation in early mouse embryos

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...

Development and implementation of ISAR, a new synthesis platform for radiopharmaceutical production

open access: yesEJNMMI Radiopharmacy and Chemistry, 2019
Background PET radiopharmaceutical development and the implementation of a production method on a synthesis module is a complex and time-intensive task since new synthesis methods must be adapted to the confines of the synthesis platform in use. Commonly

The cooperative regulation of miR‐221 by APE1 and AUF1 impacts p27Kip1 defining a miR signature relevant for cervical cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A regulatory axis involving APE1, AUF1, and miR‐221 is proposed. Pri‐miR‐221 is processed by DROSHA and DICER to generate mature miR‐221, which targets p27Kip1 mRNA. APE1 and AUF1 compete for pre‐miR‐221 binding. Reduced APE1/AUF1 levels impair miR‐221 biogenesis, decrease p27Kip1 mRNA degradation, and promote cell cycle progression, chemoresistance ...

C2α‐carbanion‐protonating glutamate discloses tradeoffs between substrate accommodation and reaction rate in actinobacterial 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Enzymes of the 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase group catalyze the condensation of formyl‐CoA with aldehydes or ketones. Thus, by structural adaptation of active sites, practically any pharmaceutically and industrially important 2‐hydroxyacid could be biotechnologically synthesized. Combining crystal structure analysis, active site mutations and kinetic assays,

A Conservative Four-Dimensional Hyperchaotic Model with a Center Manifold and Infinitely Many Equilibria

open access: yesModelling
This paper presents a novel four-dimensional autonomous conservative model characterized by an infinite set of equilibrium points and an unusual algebraic structure in which all eigenvalues of the Jacobian matrix are zero.

A gauge-field approach to 3- and 4-manifold invariants

open access: yes, 1996
The paper contains a talk given by the author at the Banach Center in Spring 1995. It recapitulates author's approach to construction of topological invariants of the Reshetikhin-Turaev-Witten type of 3- and 4-dimensional manifolds in the framework of SU(

MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.

Web of 4D dualities, supersymmetric partition functions and SymTFT

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study ℤ N one-form center symmetries in four-dimensional gauge theories using the symmetry topological field theory (SymTFT). In this context, the associated TFT in the five-dimensional bulk is the BF model.

Continuum of limit cycles in a class of three-dimensional quadratic polynomial systems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations
It is well-known that planar autonomous polynomial dynamical systems have only a finite number of limit cycles. We present a class of parameter depending three-dimensional autonomous systems whose right-hand side consists of quadratic polynomials and ...
