Optical studies of complex color centers in KF crystals
Journal of Luminescence, 1992Abstract A detailed investigation on F-aggregate centers in KF crystals has been performed by means of optical absorption and luminescence measurements. The spectroscopic features of the absorption bands due to F 3 and F 4 defects were confirmed and studied as a function of temperature.

Assembly of body-centered cubic crystals in hard spheres
The European Physical Journal E, 2011We investigate the crystallization of monodisperse hard spheres confined by two square patterned substrates (possessing the basic character of the body-centered cubic (bcc) crystal structure) at varying substrate separations via molecular dynamics simulation.

Investigation on crystal growth and color center of substituted garnet crystals
Materials Research Bulletin, 1989Abstract Synthetic substituted garnet crystals were grown as a new laser material by Czochralski technique. Color center might be formed under pumping light. The formation of color center and its absorption spectra were studied. Experiment shows that the formation of color center is mainly due to the gallium garnet host and there is no close relation

Crystal dynamics of face centered cubic cobalt
Solid State Communications, 1982Abstract An equilibrium condition which preserves the crystal stability is derived. This condition in conjunction with recent dynamical model is employed to study the crystal dynamics of f.c.c. Co. The agreement between theory and experiment is good.

Four-Center Type Photopolymerization of Diolefin Crystals
1989Crystalline-state organic reactions proceed with a minimum of atomic and molecular motion, indicating strict control of the crystal lattice. Therefore, many of the reaction conversions are quantitative and the products have an extremely stereospecific configuration which can be attained only through a crystalline-state reaction.

Structures of borate crystals without center of inversion
2010 11th International Conference and Seminar on Micro/Nanotechnologies and Electron Devices, 2010The distribution of 150 presently known acentric borates over different crystal systems has been revealed. The rules for generation of boron-oxygen fundamental building blocks, three- and tetra-coordinated boron are specified.

Luminescence of Dipole-centers in ZnSe crystals
2018It is proposed a model of recombination luminescence center on which the two opposite mechanisms of recombination, electron and hole recombination, are implemented. Such a center of luminescence is observed in ZnSe crystals and causes the luminescence of a wide band with the maximum at about 1.92??eV (630??nm).

Distribution and Nature of Gold Crystallization Centers on Single-Crystal Substrates
1979Although many studies have been performed, the nature and numbers of nuclei on substrates remain debatable; two major reasons are as follows. On the one hand, experiments with defective substrates show clearly that the number of nuclei increases regularly with the defect concentration, which indicates that point defects are preferred nucleation sites ...

Chlorophyll Chemistry Before and After Crystals of Photosynthetic Reaction Centers
Photosynthesis Research, 2004The experimental, theoretical and structural research leading to the identification and characterization of the (bacterio) chlorophyll species that mediate the primary events of solar energy transduction and dynamics is reviewed and examined from the author's perspective.

Photoluminescence of T-Centers in Potassium Halide Crystals
1973After electrolytical coloration of the Pb2+, Sn2+ and Ge2+ doped alkali halide crystals (concentration ~ 5×1016 lons/cm3) the characteristic Pb2+, Sn2+ and Ge2+ bands in the absorption spectrum disappear and T-bands (associated with T-centers) appear. The T-centers are luminescent.
