The Impacts of Airport Centrality in the EU Network and Inter- Airport Competition on Airport Efficiency

open access: yes
In this paper we study the relationship between airport efficiency and two factors: an airport’s centrality in the EU network, and the intensity of competition from alternative airports in the same catchment area.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Analysis of amino acids network based on graph mining [PDF]

open access: yesNetwork Biology
Applications of graph mining have proliferated across the research spectrum in recent years. Mining data to retrieve information is a big deal as data are unstructured and huge in size, volume and in different data-types as internet is available to ...

DEALER: Distributed Clustering with Local Direction Centrality and Density Measure

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Clustering by Measuring Local Direction Centrality (CDC) is a recently proposed innovative clustering method. It identifies clusters by assessing the direction centrality of data points, i.e., the distribution of their k-nearest neighbors.

Introducing a new centrality measure from the transportation network analysis in Greece

open access: yes, 2015
This paper introduces a new centrality measure, nominated by the authors as mobility centrality (C (m) ), which arose during the study of the interregional road network in Greece.

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
