Vertical Structure of the Transition Zone from Infalling Rotating Envelope to Disk in the Class 0 Protostar, IRAS04368+2557 [PDF]
We have resolved for the first time the radial and vertical structure of the almost edge-on envelope/disk system of the low-mass Class 0 protostar L1527. For that, we have used ALMA observations with a spatial resolution of 0.25$^{\prime\prime}$$\times$0.13$^{\prime\prime}$ and 0.37$^{\prime\prime}$$\times$0.23$^{\prime\prime}$ at 0.8 mm and 1.2 mm ...

Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six

A cell consisting of a rotatable double-walled cylinder is described for the study of etching under conditions of enhanced gravity. Rotation rates of 6000 revolutions per minute giving g values of up to 600 were possible with the set-up. The cell was tested by etching masked patterns in a copper plate with an aqueous FeCl3 solution.

Puromycin Sensitivity of Ribosomal Label after Incorporation of 14C-Labelled Amino Acids into Isolated Mitochondria from Neurospora crassa [PDF]
Radioactive amino acids were incorporated into isolated mitochondria from Neurospora crassa. Then the mitochondrial ribosomes were isolated and submitted to density gradient centrifugation. A preferential labelling of polysomes was observed.

On-Chip Generation of Vortical Flows for Microfluidic Centrifugation.
Microcentrifugation constitutes an important part of the microfluidic toolkit in a similar way that centrifugation is crucial to many macroscopic procedures, given that micromixing, sample preconcentration, particle separation, component fractionation ...

miRNA‐29 regulates epidermal and mesenchymal functions in skin repair
miRNA‐29 inhibits cell‐to‐cell and cell‐to‐matrix adhesion by silencing mRNA targets. Adhesion is controlled by complex interactions between many types of molecules coded by mRNAs. This is crucial for keeping together the layers of the skin and for regenerating the skin after wounding.

Separation of brewer pellets in a vibratory-centrifugal centrifuge [PDF]
The article reflects the process of dehydration of brewer pellets, as one of the ways to solve the problem of their utilization in order to obtain a highly concentrated feed for farm animals, which is an urgent task. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the interrelation between the technological and physical properties of the brewer pellets ...
